- Surprise Phone Calls -

So, this week started off with an exciting phone call. Sunday night I got a call from a company (Valley Air Photos - www.valleyairphotos.com) that I'll be working for this summer, wanting to know if I could come out within the next week because their pilot had torn his Achilles tendon playing basketball. Obviously, not good news for him, but I was ecstatic.

Then today, I got the real phone call with all the details. Which means tomorrow morning I'll be booking a one-way flight to Boise for Monday or Tuesday, with plans to stay for about two weeks for some intensive, on the job training. In other words, I'm finally getting paid to fly!

At the moment I'm praying all my training comes back and I'm able to pick up on everything very quickly and it will be an easy adjustment for all involved. Isn't it amazing how God works, even when we can't see Him or don't understand His timing?

- Weekend Up-Date -

Friday night was going to be hard to follow up, but I managed. I actually had a pretty awesome Saturday, believe it or not, in Cedarville, Ohio of all places. What, you may ask, is in Cedarville? Well, not a whole lot of anything. But on Saturday the population of the town tripled to welcome David Crowder Band and Third Day. Two of my favorite bands in one crappy, but conveniently close, location.

Both put on an amazing show - not that I was expecting anything less. And you can't beat the $15 price tag. Yes, fun was had by all - in spite of the fact we probably had the worst seats in the place (very top left corner).

And the big surprise of the night - I walk up to the top of the stairs and look to my left for seating. And I'm standing there thinking to myself - this red-headed girl looks really familiar. And she turns and looks right at me - and she's not even two feet away, mind you - and it's not a "she" at all. Just a dude in desperate need of some clippers. That's right, the guy we all know and love, my buddy and yours, Mr. Thad George, with cousins in tow. (Big shout out to the G-force).

Anyway, to cap it all off, I get home around 1:30, which means an almost unheard of 2am (that's right, AM baby) bedtime. How, in the name of all things sacred, am I going to top that?

- Another Exciting Friday -

The college days are definitely over. Last night was a beautiful Friday night in downtown Bourneville. And where of all places do I find myself? In bed! How lame am I? Of all the things I could be doing - chillin' at the Bridge with Donald and Nate, partying it up at Outwest Hair Design, bumpin' and grindin' at the Dairy Hut, or gettin' wit da honey's down at Tony's trailer - but I choose my every-so-comfy pillow top mattress (which you can get at a very reasonable price at the Lloyd Co. - gracias Uncle Byron). Well, at least I have a cute snuggle buddy to keep me warm on these lonely winter nights. You da man Shan!

ROUND ONE -

Since drawing unemployment for the past few months, I find myself with a tremendous amount of free time. Perhaps, that's an understatement. It seems all that I have is free time. Which is why I find myself at computer...and you find yourself reading this.

It seems most my friends are "blogging" these days, so I thought (I tend to do that a lot, as well in my free time) if everyone else is doing it...why can't I?

Which means in my free time, when I'm not sleeping, eating, gaming, napping, gaming, wathcing movies or soaps, I just might be blogging...so ENJOY!

- Here's to unemployment and living off of taxpayers!
